  • A licence for these auctions was issued on 9th October 2002 by the London Borough of Bromley and is held for the Company in the name of Neal John Gunter; to whom all related matters should be addressed in the first instance.  

 

  • Unless stated otherwise Sales will be held on the dates published; starting at 10.00 am. Viewing is between 2.00 pm and 8.00 pm on the day before the Sale and from 8.00 am on the day of the Sale.  

 

  • All buyers must register and receive a Bidding Number. Bids will not be accepted without a Bidding Number.

 

  • The sale will go to the highest bidder subject to the Lot reaching its Reserve Price.

 

  • Lots that fail to reach their Reserve Price will be withdrawn.

 

  • A Buyer’s Premium of 15% (plus VAT) (minimum £1) will be added to the Hammer Price of all Lots sold.

 

  • At the fall of the hammer the goods/articles are the responsibility of the Buyer.

 

  • The Catalogue description of Lots is that of the Vendor, NOT the Sale Room. Orpington Sale Rooms Ltd will not accept any responsibility for vendor’s descriptions. Potential buyers should therefore consider this before bidding.

 

  • All Lots are sold as seen and Orpington Sale Rooms Ltd offer no guarantees.

 

  • Unless otherwise stated, all electrical items are sold as scrap. Where it is apparent from the Hammer Price that an electrical item may be fit for use the electrical safety of the item should be checked by a qualified electrician. Orpington Sale Rooms Ltd cannot and will not accept any liability for any matters arising from its use.

 

  • Buyers are not to remove lots themselves. This will be done by Sale Room staff.

 

  • Payments are to be made (in £ Sterling) by cash and/or personal cheque.  Payment by cheque WILL NOT be accepted for amounts less than £100.00 or if the amount exceeds the limit of the Guarantee card. MULTIPLE CHEQUES AND DEBIT/CREDIT CARDS ARE NOT ACCEPTED.  

 

  • Goods and articles are not to be removed from the Sale Room until full payment has been made. Payment is to be made by close of business on the day of the sale. Goods/articles are to be removed by close of business on the day after the sale (Friday). After this time storage will be charged at £5 per Lot per day.  

 

  • Customers will be charged for all breakages and any other damage to Lots at the rate of the high estimate price PLUS 25% + Commission + VAT.  

 

  • Clients who are unable to attend the auction in person may leave bids with the Auctioneer. Full details must be entered on a bidding form.
